We are Joel and Brooke Daku, missionaries to Kiribati (pronounced Keereeboss). Kiribati is an Island nation located on the
equator in the South Pacific Ocean. We believe the Lord has called us to go and preach the Gospel to the 107,000 thousand
souls that inhabit this island nation. The cults and traditional churches have reached these islands teaching their work
based salvation. However, we have not been able to find one Gospel preaching witness there.
We believe as Isaiah 55:5 states, “thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run
unto thee because of the Lord thy God.” Our desire is to see the Lord glorified in these islands.

Mauri, (hello in I-Kiribati) from the roads of America. As many of you know at the beginning of January
we hit the deputation trail. We have already learned many things in the three months we have been traveling.
One thing is certain! Road conditions, signs, and map-quest directions vary greatly from state to state, and
can be quite challenging at times. Although traveling can be testing, the Lord has shown Himself mighty to

The month of April was an exciting month for us with five Missions Conferences back to back. Joel was able
to see three teenage boys come to know the Lord as their Savior during one conference. It is always a blessing
